With the current economical climate we’re in, it is still possible for business’s to not just survive but thrive and even grow. At AD Brown Upholstery we have some exciting times ahead and despite the doom and gloom we’re looking to the future and advancing our business to offer more great products and services and taking a massive leap into the technical world of digital manufacturing.

Many businesses have been impacted by recent layoffs. With inflation increasing and the cost of simply doing business rising sharply, there is no question that all types of businesses are affected. In this challenging environment, we looked at what investments and advancements we could make as a business to ensure the longevity of the company and job security for our workers.

Growing a business in an ideal situation can seem like a challenge, but when the economy takes a hit it becomes even more difficult. Given the current climate it probably doesn’t seem like a wise idea to spend hundreds of thousands of pounds investing, but having seen a lull in business on the upholstery side should we just sit back and hope it picks up again or look at ways to expand our market and take a new direction giving us more potential income and business growth? We think so.

So, we have some exciting new machinery coming in a few short months, we’re going through a complete refurbishment and installing machines that will take us into the digital age, we are so excited to take this leap. The future of manufacturing is digital and has become essential to solving complex production problems and improving business for machine shops. We’ll be bringing some innovative product designs to market very soon so watch this space!
